Tonight I started working on my punk jacket and I thought it would be fun to show you the steps that take it from where it is now to where it will be when I'm done.*
My jacket starts out like this.

So far, I've taken my seam ripper and removed the bottom pockets
And cut the sleeves so that at the shoulder point, the sleeves are 5.25 inches long.
After cutting the sleeves, this is what I've got.
Next on my to-do list is shortening the shoulder and trimming the sides so the the sleeves fit better.
